DEWAYNE TUBBS

INDUCTED OCTOBER 29, 2022

Dewayne Tubbs played men's basketball at then-Michigan Christian College from 1988-1990 when the university was only a two-year junior college. 

Dewayne is arguably the best pure scorer and shooter the men's basketball program has ever had. He was a high-level player in all facets of the game, possessing exceptional quickness and the ability to defend on and off the ball. As a freshman, he hit ten straight three-pointers in one game. He helped lead the Warriors to their first USCAA National Championship in 1989 and was named to the All-Tournament team. The next year, Dewayne was named to the USCAA All-American team. 

After Dewayne's two-year Hall of Fame career at MCC, he went on to play basketball and complete his degree at Indiana Tech University. Dewayne is being inducted as a men's basketball player.
