JACK LARUE WINS WHAC BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONOR
Warrior first baseman Jack LaRue was named the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Player of the Week following his performances in the Warriors' series against UC-Clermont on Saturday, March 2, and Sunday, March 3 in a vote by WHAC sports information directors.
LaRue was on fire during the weekend, hitting three home runs (six total hits) and being a part of multiple key double plays during the weekend's games. In the Warriors' first game of the weekend, LaRue had two solo home runs in his first three at-bats. In the Warriors' 8-6 win on the weekend's final game, the senior hit a go-ahead home run to help Rochester take a lead; it never lost the rest of the game.
LaRue is the Warriors' first WHAC Player/Pitcher of the Week for baseball since the 2021 season, where Daniel Moenar won Pitcher of the Week after throwing a no-hitter and striking out 12 in a 10-1 win over Lawrence Tech.
