WARRIORS BEGIN WHAC PLAY AGAINST LOURDES AND NORTHWESTERN OHIO

ROYAL OAK, Mich. -  The Warriors (8-10) will begin conference play on Saturday and Sunday, first taking on the Lourdes Gray Wolves (1-9) for their home debut at Memorial Park in Royal Oak, before traveling to Lima, Ohio, to face the Northwestern Ohio Racers (9-7). The Warriors are looking to bounce back following their 20-4 loss to NCAA DI Oakland University on Wednesday.

THE MATCHUPS

VS. LOURDES (DH) - SATURDAY, MARCH 15 - 1 P.M.

The Warriors will start off against the Lourdes Gray Wolves on Saturday at Memorial Park. For the Warriors, Saturday's doubleheader will be the first time the team plays at home this season. Last year, the Gray Wolves swept the Warriors in four matchups at home. This year, the Warriors will look to change that. It has been a tough start to the season for the Gray Wolves, as the team has only picked up one win. The Gray Wolves lost their first WHAC doubleheader of the season to Siena Heights on Tuesday.

AT NORTHWESTERN OHIO - SUNDAY, MARCH 16 - 12 P.M.

Following Saturday's home games, the Warriors will take the bus to Ohio to catch the Northwestern Ohio Racers. Last season, the Warriors didn't pick up a win against the Racers. This year, the two teams enter, having faced several mutual opponents, primarily during the 1st Annual Midwestern Clash, where the Racers defeated Indiana-South Bend and Indiana-Kokomo. While the Warriors didn't pick up wins against either of those opponents, the team's trip to Florida provided a lot of insight into what the Warriors can be when the bats are going.

MONEYBALL

Second baseman Lucas Bateman sits fifth in the WHAC in stolen bases with eight on the season.

AROUND THE CONFERENCE

Siena Heights sits as the lone WHAC team with a win, as this weekend will be the start of WHAC ball for the majority of teams in the conference.
