LARUE, DEFLORIO, AND YOUNG NAB BASEBALL CONFERENCE HONORS; LARUE EARNS FIRST TEAM NOD
LIVONIA, Mich. - The Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference has released its honors for the 2024 baseball season, with first baseman Jack LaRue earning the Warriors' first-ever First Team All-Conference selection following a stellar year both at the plate and at-bat. Junior Brendan DeFlorio earned a Gold Glove Team selection after a strong season in left field, while senior Mason Young was named as the Warriors' Champions of Character representative.
LaRue's honor comes after a program-record-setting season, where he hit 12 home runs with a batting average of .404. LaRue was named WHAC Player of the Week twice during the season and also was heavily involved in the Warriors' defensive efforts. DeFlorio's Gold Glove honor is the Warriors' first since the 2019 season, where current assistant coach Austin Kunert was selected.
