BRENDAN DEFLORIO NAMED TO ACBA/RAWLINGS NAIA GOLD GLOVE TEAM

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. - Junior left fielder Brendan DeFlorio has been named to the ACBA/Rawlings NAIA Gold Glove Team, marking the first time a Rochester Christian Warrior has been named for the honor in the history of the program. For the full ACBA/Rawlings Gold Glove Team release, click here.

The ACBA/Rawlings NAIA Gold Glove Team was selected by the NAIA Baseball Coaches Association All-America Committee, based on players' defensive success. DeFlorio, the first Warrior to start in 50 games in a single season, recorded 96 putouts this season while maintaining a perfect fielding percentage. Following the 2024 season, DeFlorio was selected to the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference Gold Glove Team.

Head Coach Scott Kunert had this to say on DeFlorio's nomination:

"This is huge for the program. We have had a lot of great defenders over the years, but for one to finally be nationally recognized is a major step up for the program.

In all of the years I have been a part of this program, not many have worked harder than Brendan has to get where he is. He was a spot starter at his junior college and worked his way to be a starter here at RCU and last year was the first player in our history to start all 50 games in a season. He is a leader in the classroom, in the community, in the weight room, and on the field. There is no one more deserving of this award than DeFlo."
