ESPORTS WEEKLY: VALORANT AND ROCKET LEAGUE REMAIN UNDEFEATED IN NACE

Warrior eSports has continued its successful openings to its respective seasons, with Valorant and Rocket League remaining undefeated in NACE play.

ROCKET LEAGUE

NACE (3-0)

Rochester jumped out to 3-0 in NACE play last week, defeating Truman State 3-2. The Warriors jumped out a 2-0 round lead, but Truman State stormed back with two big wins in the third and fourth games. However, Rochester was able to clutch up and secure the important win in the final.

Rocket League will play next against Converse University on Monday, Oct. 2, at 7 p.m.

WHAC (7-0)

Rochester is still perfect in WHAC Play, with a win over Lourdes and rival Siena Heights during the week. In the Lourdes game, Rochester dominated play, with Brandon Nystch (Skies) scoring six goals in the first game, leading to a 13-0 round win. The Warriors went on to sweep the Gray Wolves.

In a rematch of last year's WHAC Championship against Siena Heights, Rochester emerged victorious, winning 3-1. Luca Alfaro (LuCA-) scored three of four goals in the final round, assisted twice by Nystch.

Rochester enters the week with matchups against Indiana Tech and Cornerstone. They will face off against Tech on Tuesday, Oct. 3, at 6 p.m.

CRL

In the biggest news of the week for Rocket League, the team qualified for Collegiate Rocket League play for the second straight season. The Warriors defeated Indian River State College 3-0 and stayed at the top of the bracket throughout the qualifier.

"Qualifying felt like a weight off our shoulders," Nystch said. "Having a target on your back from the start of the qualifier can be stressful. Our opponents played great games."

VALORANT

NACE (4-0)

The Warriors remain undefeated in NACE play and had a bye last week. Rochester will return to action against James Madison University on Wednesday, Oct. 4, at 7 p.m.

RED BULL CAMPUS CLUTCH

The team prepares for the Red Bull Campus Clutch, which will be an offline regional LAN match in Chicago. Rochester will compete in the event on Oct. 7.
