BRETT WHITE EARNS WHAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONOR
Warrior forward Brett White was selected as the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference's Player of the Week on Monday afternoon for his performances on Jan. 24 and Jan. 27 in a vote by WHAC Sports Information Directors.
In his first two conference game starts of his career, White averaged 30.5 points and 6.0 rebounds a game on a blistering 76.9% FG and 70.6% 3FG during the week. White shot 11-12 in the Warriors' 90-82 loss to Aquinas on Jan. 24, scoring 32 points in what was the Warriors' first 30+ point individual performance since the 2021 season.
In the second game of the week against Michigan-Dearborn, White scored 29 points on 9-14 shooting in a 95-70 victory. White's performances were the first and second-highest he's scored in his NAIA career.
This is White's first time winning the honor. For the men's program, this is the first time the Player of the Week award has been won since the 2021-22 season when center Diego Robinson earned the award after averaging 19 points and 11 rebounds in two wins.
