WHAC RELEASES MBB AWARDS; WALTERS, WHITE, AND FISHER NAMED ALL-CONFERENCE

The Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference has released the 2023-24 WHAC Men's Basketball Awards, with guard Gunner Walters taking home a First Time All-Conference nomination - the first of his career. Walters is accompanied by forward Brett White and center James Fisher, who received Second Team All-Conference honors.

Walters' season was an excellent one statistically, as the sophomore averaged 13.1 points, 6.3 assists, and 4.7 rebounds per game. Walters' assist average led the conference, and he's the first Warrior to be selected to the WHAC's First Team since AJ Johnson and Diego Robinson did so in 2021-22.

White and Fisher earned nominations after highly efficient shooting seasons, with Fisher leading the WHAC in field goal percentage (70.5%) and White finishing third in the conference in three-point percentage (43.3%). Fisher earned his second consecutive Second Team All-Conference nomination, while White's selection was the first of his Warrior career.

Forward Brandon Michrina was nominated as the Warriors' Champions of Character Team representative. 12 Warriors were named to the WHAC All-Academic Team, listed below:
