WARRIORS FINISH JOE BANKS AND TIFFIN INVITES; HOLT AND SHAW QUALIFY FOR NATIONALS

In the final two events of the Indoor Track & Field season, the Warriors had a successful home stretch ahead of the upcoming 2024 WHAC Championships in Grand Rapids. Junior Alec Shaw and sophomore Julian Holt earned national qualifier bids, with Holt setting the Men's High Jump record at 2.03 meters to qualify at the Tiffin Invitational.

JOE BANKS INVITE - FEB. 2

Holt headlined for the Warriors, who had five total top-five finishes in the event, at first place in the high jump with a jump of 2.01m. Shaw also placed in first in his respective events - the Men's 800m with a time of 1:58.47 and the Men's Mile with a time of 4:17.03 - earning him an NAIA National bid. 11 Warriors across the men's and women's programs set career PR's, with Daniel Gore highlighting the achievement with a 2:50.68 in the Men's 1000m, placing him in 12th for the event.

TIFFIN INVITATIONAL - FEB. 10

Holt continued his streak of first-place finishes at events, this time making history in the process - the sophomore jumped a 2.03m finish, setting the school record for Indoor Men's High Jump. This result secured Holt his first career trip to NAIA Nationals. Shaw also placed first in the 800m with a time of 1:57.29, while runners Wyatt Emmons and Brandon Zielke finished third and fourth, respectively, in the Men's Mile.
