WARRIORS DEFEATED IN THREE TO #RV INDIANA TECH

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. - It was a quick outing on Saturday afternoon for the Warriors (7-18, 0-12), as the team fell in three games to #RV Indiana Tech (20-8, 11-1) in Garth Pleasant Arena. Indiana Tech's offensive outpaced the Warriors in all three games, as the Warriors had difficulty getting hits through a stout Indiana Tech defense. Right side Madelyn Geisenhaver led the Warriors in kills with nine, while setter Mackenzie Keefer led the Warriors in assists and digs with 10 and 13, respectively. 

THE RUNDOWN

FIRST GAME - 17-25 IT

• The Warriors got their start offensively with multiple hitters getting involved - Geisenhaver, Hailee Mancogna, and Kourtney Mack each earned kills in the Warriors' first four points of the contest. After Indiana Tech got an 8-4 lead, the Warriors went on a 6-1 run behind big plays from Mack, Alivia Everitt, and Geisenhaver. Geisenhaver continued her great first set with another kill, but Indiana Tech jumped out to a 7-0 run to put the Warriors way behind. Three kills from senior Noelle VanOort put Indiana Tech in the driver's seat following the first set

SECOND GAME - 17-25 IT

• A big-time block from Mancogna and Everitt got RCU going to begin the second game as RCU found themselves leading 9-8 midway through the set. The Warriors got another spectacular block from Everitt and Geisenhaver to contribute to the lead. However, another back-breaking Indiana Tech run put the visitors in prime position to take the second game with a 17-13 lead. Two blocks by Indiana Tech helped seal the second game in the team from Fort Wayne's favor

THIRD GAME - 19-25 IT

• RCU was determined to start the third game, scoring five unanswered points, including an ace from DS Karli Rohraff. Indiana Tech recovered with a 9-2 run to bring things back to a dead heat. RCU's defense came up with another big block, but Indiana Tech added two momentum-shifting blocks of their own by middle Hannah Teich to expand the lead. Everitt played a major role in a 3-0 run for the Warriors with a kill and an ace to bring RCU back within distance, but a barrage of kills by Indiana Tech sealed the game

STAT OF THE GAME

Everitt's six total blocks are a career-high for the freshman.

The Warriors travel to Ann Arbor to face off with the Concordia Cardinals on Friday, Oct. 25, at 7 p.m.
