Five Warriors honored with WHAC Awards; Headlined by Nash as WHAC Coach of the Year and Hudgins on the WHAC First Team

(Rochester Hills, MI) - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) released its 2025 yearly awards on Thursday morning, and several Warriors earned honors this season. 

Head Coach Juliana Nash is the first RCU head coach to win WHAC Head Coach of the Year, while Chante Hudgins is the second-ever Warrior to earn First Team All-Conference while the Warriors have been a part of the WHAC. 

COACH OF THE YEAR

JULIANA NASH | 3RD SEASON

Head Coach Juliana Nash has guided the Warriors this season to one of the best turnarounds in the NAIA, while leading the team to their first 20-win season since 2017. The Warriors appeared in and hosted their first-ever WHAC Tournament game last night. 

FIRST TEAM ALL-CONFERENCE

CHANTE HUDGINS | SR | WARREN, MICHIGAN

Chante Hudgins was a force on the defense for the season as one of the top middle blockers in the WHAC. Hudgins led the Warriors and was sixth in the WHAC in total blocks with 103 and led the conference in solo blocks with 33. Hudgins was also 16th in the WHAC with 233 kills. 

SECOND TEAM ALL-CONFERENCE

KENDAL ZEITER | JR | TROY, MICHIGAN

As the second-leading attacker for RCU, Kendal Zeiter tallied 227 kills in her first season in the Red and Black, converting on 227 attacks with a .205 hitting percentage. Zeiter was 14th in the conference at 2.49 kills per set. Zeiter added 34 blocks as well, defensively, 34th in the WHAC. 

HAILEE MANCOGNA | SR | GOODRICH, MICHIGAN

Right behind Zeiter in kills for RCU was Haille Mancogna with 226. Mancogna was 22nd in the WHAC this season in kills while putting up 2.17 kills per set. In addition, Mancogna recorded a .212 hitting percentage, which was 18th best in the conference. Defensively, she added 32 blocks. 

ASHLEY HORNE | JR | OXFORD, MICHIGAN

Top-5 in digs in the WHAC this season was Ashley Horne. Horne recorded 424 digs and 4.08 digs per set this season, which is the 6th best in the WHAC. Horne added 28 service aces (28th in the WHAC) and recorded the seventh most serve receptions with 508.

CHAMPIONS OF CHARACTER

ASHLEY HORNE | JR | OXFORD, MICHIGAN

Ashley Horne was recognized as the team's WHAC Champion of Character. The junior was honored for her commitment to the five core values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.

ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM

The WHAC announced its All-Academic teams, which include sophomores and above in Academic standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.25. The 12 Warriors honored were Madelyn Geisenhaver, Aisha Gray, Alanna Gray, Emma Hock, Ashley Horne, Mackenzie Keefer, Kourtney Mack, Hailee Mancogna, Hannah Roddis, Karli Rohraff, Allison Scott, and Alyssa Swanson.
