Mangum named next RCU Women's Volleyball Head Coach
(Rochester Hills, MI) - The Rochester Christian athletic department is excited to announce Samantha Mangum as the new head coach for the Women's Volleyball program. Mangum will begin her duties as head coach on March 16th.
Mangum has been a coach with the Legacy Volleyball Club since December 2018, where she has been a part of several different teams within the club.
RCU Athletic Director Clayton Bissett had this to say about Samantha joining the staff: "We are extremely happy to be able to have Sam on board. She comes to us with a lot of high-level club coaching experience and college coaching experience as well. I know she is excited to get going, and we are excited to see her take over the program and continue its success."
Mangum was also an assistant coach and Director of Operations for the Macomb Community College volleyball team from 2022-2024. Mangum assisted the head coach in developing scouting reports, while also being a part of the recruiting process and communication with new recruits in leading campus visits.
"I am incredibly honored to join the Rochester Christian University community," said Mangum. "This program has a strong tradition and tremendous potential, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to work with our student-athletes to build a culture of unity, hard work, accountability, and competitive excellence. I am grateful for the foundation set by Coach Nash and excited for the opportunity to build on it. Go, Warriors!"
